FAQs

What should I wear to class?
Close fitting clothes are recommended, you will want your knees & midriff covered. For aerial silks, an additional top with sleeves is additionally recommended. Yoga clothing & most active wear will suit. Dressing in layers is helpful. No jewelry please.

Am I strong/fit enough for aerial acrobatics?
You should have a basic level of fitness. As a complete beginner, we start you off with moves on or close to the ground, so you can build strength, endurance & confidence. Aerial Acrobatics does require full use of both hands & feet, and eventually holding your body weight. Before starting any new fitness regimen, if you have any concerns or questions it is best to contact your doctor.

Do you run your classes in terms or sessions?
Our Adult classes run on a flexible drop-in basis, they do not follow specific terms or sessions. Participants can start at any time without having to wait for the beginning of a new term. Our Teen & Kids classes follow the ACT school terms, partial terms are accepted as long as room allows.

Do you accept drop-ins?
Yes! Although we do like to know you are coming, so you can let us know via our online booking system – some classes can fill up fast, and places are limited. We cannot guarentee a space if you haven't booked in online.

Can men take your classes?
Yes, of course. Our classes are suited towards both men & women.

What time should I arrive to class?
It is generally best to arrive 5 - 10 minutes before class, which gives you plenty of time to change or sort out what you need to before class. If it is your first time at our studio, you will need about 5 minutes to fill out our student form.

What if I'm late to class?
We understand that arriving a few minutes late does occasionally occur, and is permitted. However, if you are more than 10 minutes late to a class, you will have missed most of the warm-up & for your safety will be asked to not participate in the class, but you will be allowed to observe the class.

Can I take photos or videos in class?
Usually the answer is yes, but please double check with your instructor and fellow students before snapping away.

Can my friend or relative watch the class?
Yes, we have a comfortable seating area where guests can observe the class.

What class should I take? I've never done anything like this before!
Our Aerial Foundations class is a perfect first class, catering to complete beginners.

Am I too old to take these classes? Aerial Dancing looks hard! Can I really do it?
No way, everyone has to start somewhere, and you're never too old to start! You just need a desire to learn & play. If you have medical concerns, please talk to your doctor before trying a class.

Can I do it with a friend?
Absolutely, the more the merrier. Bring your friends, bring their friends, and so on and so on.

What do I bring to class?
You will need water for the class. If you forget to bring a bottle, we do have a full kitchen where you can grab a glass of water.

Do you have parking at your facility?
There are a few parking spots available at our centre. We do share the parking lot with other businesses though, so they are often full. Street parking is available and there is ample parking across the street in the Camping World parking lot.
